The competition, which is free and open to enter, will incentivize team participation in the competition through “Civic Bounty”. Civic Bounty allows groups or civic organizations to participate through a structured quota that is to be achieved over a specified time period.

The competition requires participants to safely collect mangroves from local beaches, or mangrove locations designated by the project partners. Teams must care for mangrove plants in accordance with WKB requirements and must be done with supplies provided by WKB to encourage increased viability of survival.

We encourage civic organizations to consider forming a team and working along with us to create a hands-on, collaborative project that will help to restore and preserve the mangrove ecosystem.
